With only four games left in the 2020 regular season, the Crimson Tide finds itself on the outside looking-in at the projected field of the NCAA Tournament. So, too, does ‘Bama’s opponent tonight, the Bulldogs of Mississippi State. It goes without saying that this is a massive game for both teams; particularly so for the Tide, who don’t have another quality win opportunity left on the regular season schedule.
The Tide washed away the Dogs in their previous meeting this season in Tuscaloosa by a final score of 90-69, but that won’t mean a thing tonight in Starkville. Alabama’s had its fair share of heart-breaking losses just across the border in “the Hump”.
Hope for the best. Alabama really can’t afford to lose this game tonight if Nate Oats’ squad wants to avoid needing a deep run in Nashville to get them into the tournament. The game tips off at 8:00 PM CST and will be televised on the SEC Network.
