The Cleveland Browns, with their star-studded, underachieving cast of offensive players, have shored up a leaky offensive line with the best offensive tackle in the draft (sorry Andrew Thomas). With Jack Conklin already at right tackle and Joel Bitonio at guard, the Browns have some talent on their OL already, they just needed another tackle.
Wills will likely be slotted to become left tackle and keep Baker Mayfield upright long enough to throw the ball to Odell Beckam or spring Nick Chubb lose around the end for a huge run. Sounds nice, huh?
Wills’ selection makes him the second Alabama player off the draft board after quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, and the Tide’s second player in the top-10, tying with Ohio State. He’s the second offensive lineman to be drafted tonight, and adds to Alabama’s string of starting offensive tackles being 1st or 2nd round draft picks dating back to Andre Smith.
Roll Tide!
