Trevon Diggs drafted #51 overall by the Dallas Cowboys

Trevon is headed to Texas.

NCAA Football: Alabama vs Duke Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Trevon Diggs heard his name come off the board at #51 overall, as the Dallas Cowboys pulled the trigger on the Alabama standout in round two.

Diggs isn’t a perfect prospect by any means considering his injury history and struggles with consistency, but there is plenty to like about him. He has elite size at 6’1”, 205 with long arms that allow him to make a play on the ball. He has strong hands that he uses effectively to fight the ball out of the WR’s grasp at the last minute, and fluid hips. The brother of star NFL WR Stefon Diggs, Trevon has the pedigree and is known for his football smarts. His athleticism isn’t quite at the elite level but, if he can find some consistency, he has a chance to be a good starter in the league for a long time.

Hopefully he has found a good fit.

Congrats, Trevon.

Roll tide.
