Happy Friday, everyone. It was another busy draft for Alabama, starting with Tua, who inspired.... this.
The similarities between Tua and Tebow are fascinating.

Both:
In convo for best college QB's all time
Had personal ESPN PR/Hype machine
Had coaches who got angry if you questioned whether they would succeed
Were so like-able it was hard to criticize
Intangibles off the charts
Great comparison, Danno. Still can’t believe you got canned back when.
— It’s the third time in the last four years that Alabama has had four players selected during the first round. However, it also marked the first time during the Nick Saban era that the Crimson Tide had multiple first round picks without a single one of them being a defensive player. All four of Alabama’s first round selections were offensive players — quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, offensive lineman Jedrick Wills and wide receivers Henry Ruggs and Jerry Jeudy.
You can now field a complete offense and defense of first-round draft picks coached by Nick Saban.
The last remaining position on Saban’s first-round bingo card was filled Thursday night when QB Tua Tagovailoa was taken at No. 5 by the Miami Dolphins. Tagovailoa is the first QB coached by Saban to go in the first round of an NFL draft.
It was a good night for Alabama, even if Xavier McKinney didn’t hear his name called. It’s almost unbelievable that Saban had four first rounders and none on defense. You have to imagine that he will be motivated to change that.
Oh, and about Henry Ruggs and his robe:
It’s not to be comfortable. Raiders pick Henry Ruggs III got paid to wear that bathrobe. He’s wearing an Old Spice robe to call attention to the company's $320,000 donation to United Way on behalf of rookies from all 32 NFL teams to kickstart their community efforts. pic.twitter.com/qNAe5AAlim

Well, that’s nice.
Some notes about the picks:
- Miami “won the draft” with Tua, and a Hoover bakery celebrated with a cake.
- Baker Mayfield reached out to Jedrick Wills, and is excited about him.
- Henry Ruggs wants the Raiders fans to know he’s more than just a burner.
- Jerry Jeudy made a Tik Tok with Roger Goodell, and the Broncos rightly believe he was the steal of the draft.
Last, Alabama hoops has a new series scheduled.
Sources: Yale and Alabama will start a multi-year series next season in New Haven. A homecoming for Jordan Bruner.

That will be fun for him.
That’s about it for today. Have a great weekend.
Roll Tide.
