The Crimson Tide picked up their sixth commitment to the Class of 2021 in 4-star linebacker Ian Jackson.
Coming in at 6’1 and 210 lbs, the Prattville, AL resident could be another safety/linebacker hybrid or maybe even a straight up strong safety. However, some football scouts seem to think his future lies at linebacker if he can pack on a few pounds. Versatility is always an asset in a football prospect.
Looking at his tape, his 247sports composite ranking of No. 235 might be a bit stingy. Jackson is a strong tackler in space and anticipates well on the perimeter. He is a highly-effective edge rusher as well as read-and-react from the linebacker spot. He is always on the move making it difficult for blockers to track him down.
Jackson chose the Tide over LSU, UGA, and Oklahoma. Oregon and Auburn were distant runner-ups. Bama safeties coach Charles Kelly gets the checkmark by his name for this pledge.
Alabama is picking up some recruiting momentum. Nick Saban is not going to rush into some reactionary moves because a few other schools are picking up quantity over quality. Expect to see a few more commitments in the coming weeks. This class is stealthily becoming another excellent one for the men in crimson and white.

No. 1 center James Brockermeyer released his final 4 on Monday:

James’s brother Tommy, a 5-star left tackle and No. 5 overall, released a Top 5 back in December that had these same four plus Clemson. Most crootin’ reporters believe the twins will end up at the same school. If true, it looks like the Dabo cult has likely been eliminated. IMHO, it will come down to Alabama and Texas where the brothers are legacies (father was an All-American offensive tackle at UT in 1994; grandfather was an offensive tackle for Darrel Royal in the 1950s; older brother walked on before earning a scholarship in 2019).
4-star WR Brian Thomas from outside Baton Rouge has also released a final 4:

247sports comp ranks him as the No. 63 overall player in the nation. Andrew Bone of Rivals thinks he is a Bama lean. He has not scheduled an announcement date as of yet.
Safety Kaine Williams committed to Bama two weeks ago. He tweeted this out this week:
I just want to say one thing and that is to ones thats support my decision I appreciate yall and to the ones that be saying these slick comments I appreciate y’all too #RTR

Being from Looziana, one can only imagine what s**t the Cajun mafia has been laying on him. It sounds like he’ll use it as fuel when he arrives at the Capstone.
