COMMIT: 4-star DMV Pass Rusher Rolls With the Tide

The Crimson Tide continues to bolster the defense.

Monkell Goodwine.

Nick Saban is making quite the statement with the solidification of Crimson Tide defenses for years to come. Alabama picked up yet another devastating edge rusher in 4-star DE Monkell Goodwine. The nation’s No. 112 ranked player possesses a strong 6’4/260 frame with good length and he has endless energy.

He had 68 tackles, 16 quarterback hurries, seven sacks and three forced fumbles as a junior.

The Fort Washington, MD resident has great vision and his pursuit of the ball carrier is lethal. The below video is of Goodwine as a TENTH GRADER against juniors and seniors! Holy Moley.

Goodwine made a vintage choice of selecting Alabama over Texas A&M. There will surely be some sour grapes at Clemson, Kentucky, and Arizona State as the Tide bottled up this commitment. Sal Sunseri picked out this fine apéritif with assistance from Charles Huff. He is definitely one in Sémillon. Sorry, not sorry.

Alabama remains at No. 2 nationally but closes the gap on Ohio State, who lost high 4-star DE Tunmise Adeleye to a decommitment this past week. Clemson catapults up to third, followed by LSU and Oregon. Adorable little Tennessee tumbles from third to sixth, just barely ahead of Florida.

Monkell (pronounced Mahn-kell) Goodwine is planning to enroll early, joining Lawson, Leary, Blackshire and the Brockermeyer twins in that department.
