CBS Sports released its preseason All-America squad and, as you might expect, Alabama has plenty of representation.

There are a record nine unanimous selections this season split between offense and defense. Among those chosen by all of our experts were Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence and running back Travis Etienne, Oklahoma State running back Chuba Hubbard, LSU wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase and Alabama offensive lineman Alex Leatherwood on offense. Hubbard and Chase were also unanimous 2019 CBS Sports All-America selections. Defensively, Florida State defensive lineman Marvin Wilson, Alabama linebacker Dylan Moses and LSU cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. were unanimous picks, while Kentucky punter Max Duffy led the special teamers.

It’s somewhat surprising that Jaylen Waddle wasn’t a consensus pick at punt returner, but he did make the first team. Waddle made the team three times, landing on the second team as a WR and all-purpose returner. Other first-teamers include Waddle’s running mate Devonta Smith at WR and Patrick Surtain II at corner.

The Tide put two more on the second team in RB Najee Harris and OG Deonte Brown. DK Christian Barmore and LaBryan Ray were both left off of this particular list, though both have shown up on others. OL Evan Neal and Landon Dickerson have both been mentioned as potential contenders elsewhere as well.

There is an embarrassment of riches available to play in 2020. Let’s hope they do.

Roll Tide.
