UPDATE: Alabama adds Mizzou and Kentucky to 2020 schedule

One more piece of the puzzle falls into place.

NCAA Football: Citrus Bowl-Michigan vs Alabama Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

The SEC announced last week that they would be playing a ten-game schedule featuring conference opponents only. Today, they announced the pairings for each team, with Alabama adding a trip to Missouri and a home game against Kentucky to an already tough SEC West slate plus Georgia and Tennessee.

We won’t know the actual schedule until next week, but this is going to be both a fun and grueling schedule for every team in the conference. It’s tough to imagine anyone making it through all ten games unscathed.

Fans of other teams are going to be livid about this.

Roll Tide.

UPDATE: Some other notes...

  • Poor Missouri added Alabama and LSU, but they appear to be using a SOS formula since the Tigers initially had a favorable slate of Mississippi State and Arkansas.
  • Mississippi State has to travel to Athens, Baton Rouge, and Tuscaloosa. Good luck, Pirate.
  • LSU got perhaps the easiest draw with Missouri and Vanderbilt, but they already had Florida on the schedule and they have told us all how hard that game is over the years, haven’t they?
  • Auburn added South Carolina and Tennessee, and I feel certain that they will bitch about it.
