Second Half Open Thread: Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Missouri Tigers

28-3 at the half

NCAA Football: Alabama at Missouri Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

With LSU and Oklahoma both falling to upstart programs in Mississippi State and Kansas State today, Alabama fans could have been forgiven for being wary of a Missouri team with a brand new coach, QB, and receivers. So far, though, the Tide has had total control of the game.

Mac Jones has been solid in his first season as a true starter, and Jaylen Waddle has been absolutely phenomenal, nabbing 121 yards and two touchdowns, with a third being robbed by a weird rule around pylons that I’m pretty sure is a new rule this year.

On the other side of the ball, freshmen Will Anderson and Malachi Moore have been steady performers all, while the entire front-seven already looks significantly faster and more explosive than last year.

Other than a couple of annoying series with false starts, Alabama has been nearly flawless through the first half of the first game of 2020. Here’s to hoping that continues, without injury.

Roll Tide!
