Overall, it was a fairly decent and expected half for Alabama, if not as big of a lead as we had hoped.
The Tide's offense scored easily and often on the first three drives, but Notre Dame came in with the gameplan to burn as much clock as possible (always a solid strategy for an underdog) and kept the Tide to 21 points.
Alabama's defense ALMOST gave up a touchdown on a 50-second drill at the end, but ultimately held strong to force a long field goal. Will Anderson tipped the kick, and Alabama will get the ball coming out of halftime with a 14-point lead
