Arkansas v. Alabama Game Thread

Arkansas Razorbacks (10-3, 2-3 SEC) at Alabama Crimson Tide (10-3, 5-0 SEC)

NCAA Basketball: Florida at Alabama Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports

Your SEC-leading Alabama Crimson Tide welcome in the Arkansas Razorbacks today in the cavernous confines of Coleman Coliseum. While the Tide will be short-handed, there is some breaking news right before tip-off that, not only will Herb Jones be available today, but he is going to get the start. That is massive news for the undefeated-in-conference-play Tide. Hopefully he won’t be too limited from the finger dislocation on his shooting hand.

Herb will be joined by John Petty, Josh Primo, Jaden Shackelford, and Alex Reese in the starting line-up. Jahvon Quinerly is also expected to be back in the rotation today after missing the previous three games.

This is yet another huge game for the Tide, taking on a fellow NCAA Tournament contender. Alabama opened as a three-point favorite, though I’d expect that number increased with the last minute news about Herb. Can the Tide stay unbeaten in SEC play?

The game tips at 2:30 PM CST and will be televised on the SEC Network.
