Tide Hoops is a single outcome away from an SEC Title

NCAA Basketball: Vanderbilt at Alabama Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports

Nate Oats may not want his team talking about it, but, last I checked, none of us are donning the Crimson and White today. The Alabama Crimson Tide is going for the 2021 SEC regular season title this evening, which would be its first since 2002, and ninth all-time. Either a win in Starkville or a loss for Arkansas in Fayetteville will clinch it for the Tide, so I’ve decided to post this thread early today as a potential SEC Championship celebration thread, just in case LSU seals the deal for Alabama before the Tide tip-off.

LSU and Arkansas will begin at 1:00 PM CST, while Alabama and Mississippi State go live at the Hump at 5:00 PM CST. Both the Razorbacks and the Tide are about five-point favorites, depending on the source.

Now that the Tide is back to full health, the typical starting five should be expected tonight: John Petty, Herb Jones, Jaden Shackelford, Josh Primo, and Jordan Bruner. It won’t come easy in Starkville - it never does - because the Bulldogs are one of the biggest teams in college basketball. Alabama will need a renewed focus to bounce-back from that tough loss to the Hogs earlier this week.

Let’s try this again, and go be champions today, boys.
