The top-ten Tide return home looking to bounce back from its first loss of 2021 at the hands of Oklahoma this past weekend. Meeting them in Tuscaloosa will be a very talented, and motivated, LSU team that Alabama embarrassed 105-75 a few weeks ago. The Crimson Tide is attempting to move to 10-0 in SEC play for only the second time in school history tonight, which would put Alabama only a few wins away from clinching at least a share of the SEC regular season title, the first since 2002.
So, there is quite a bit at stake tonight. Alabama will remain without Jordan Bruner for the foreseeable future, while James Rojas, Alex Reese, and Herb Jones continue to deal with lingering issues themselves. The Tide will likely start with Herb, John Petty, Josh Primo, Jaden Shackelford, and Reese. LSU will counter with Javonte Smart, Cam Thomas, Mwani Wilkinson, Trendon Watford, and one of Aundre Hyatt, Josh LeBlanc, or Shareef O’Neal, who will be filling in for the injured Darius Days.
The Tide opened as an 8.5 point favorite, which seems a little steep. The game will tip at 6:00 PM CST and will be televised on ESPNU.
