#11 Alabama Crimson Tide (15-5, 10-1 SEC) at South Carolina Gamecocks (5-7, 3-5 SEC)

NCAA Basketball: Alabama at Missouri Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Alabama Crimson Tide are looking to avoid turning back-to-back road losses into a bit of a losing streak here in February, as the SEC-leading Tide attempt to bounce back from its first conference loss of 2021. With seven games left to play, Alabama is still up three games in the standings over second place Missouri, and the consensus take is that the Tide is safely still on the two-line in the NCAA Tournament picture.

Still, February has been a brutal month for Tide Hoops fans over the years, and playing down to teams that the Crimson Tide should have beaten has been a familiar sight late in the season. To that end, Alabama begins a stretch of four straight games against the bottom of the SEC tonight, and starting off with a victory in the first one would definitely calm some nerves. More importantly though, Alabama has had some issues on the offensive side of the ball recently, and it would nice to see the guys come out ready to go on both ends of the court early on.

It’s looking like Herb Jones is going to give it another go tonight, though I really think he could use some legitimate rest. He’ll start alongside Jaden Shackelford, John Petty, Josh Primo, and Juwan Gary, who will be making his first career start (a well deserved one, at that).

The game tips off at 5:30 PM CST and will be televised on the SEC Network. Alabama is favored by 7 points.
