Najee Harris was the best running back in the country last season, and despite everyone in the world trying to talk him down, the Pittsburgh Steelers bucked against Twitter pressure and actually selected a running back in the first round.
The Steelers had let James Connor go in free agency, so a running back room of Benny Snell, Anthony McFarland, and Kalen Ballage was... less than exciting.
Any time a team picks a running back in the first round, they better be ABSOLUTELY sure he’s going to work out, as there will be extra fan scrutiny. Fortunately for the Steelers, Najee is not only an otherwordly athlete, natural running back, and great personality... He’s also a phenomenal pass catcher and pass blocker. There’s little more you can ask for from a running back.
Check out our player profile below:
Harris had 1,466 rushing yards in 2020 and led the nation with 26 touchdowns.
He can also catch the ball and served his quarterback well as an outlet as well as splitting out wide. He produced 43 receptions for 425 yards and 4 more touchdowns on the ground for a record-smashing 30 total scores on the season. He finished his four seasons with 57 total touchdowns - 46 rushing and 11 receiving - tying Tim Tebow’s 57 as the most in a career by any SEC player in history.
Roll Tide, Najee!
