Alabama just brought in the highest rated recruiting class since ratings began, and one of the crown jewels was in-state DB Ga’Quincy “Kool-Aid” McKinstry. The two sport star out of Pinson Valley has generated plenty of buzz since arriving on campus, but today was featured on CBS This Morning where he was surprised by Tampa Bay tight end Rob Gronkowski with an award for Male High School Athlete of the Year.

What a cool customer.
McKinstry made waves with an athletic interception in the Alabama spring game and has been projected as a starter in the retooled secondary by a few outlets, a rare feat in Saban’s defense for a true freshman. We will see if that comes to fruition, but if he lives up to his potential the sky is the limit for him in terms of NIL money. Kool Aid, anyone?
Congratulations to Ga’Quincy. The future is bright.
Roll Tide.
