Some of you asked for a NFL Sunday thread now that Alabama has thoroughly taken over the league, so here it is. I will post the entire schedule below, but if you’d like to see which games are going to be available in your viewing area, 506sports is a great resource to bookmark.
For the uninitiated, here’s how the whole NFL TV contract deal works: CBS and FOX alternate doubleheaders each week while the other shows only one game in each market. It is the network’s option to show either an early or late game when it isn’t their turn for the doubleheader.
Today, all of Alabama along with most of the country will get the Pittsburgh Steelers, featuring Najee Harris and Minkah Fitzpatrick, vs Kenyan Drake, Henry Ruggs III and the rest of the Las Vegas Raiders on CBS at noon. Unfortunately Josh Jacobs will miss this one with a toe issue. Most of the state will have the Saints and Panthers competing on FOX in the same time slot, the others getting Calvin Ridley and the Falcons vs Super Bowl champ Tampa Bay in the later slot.
CBS has the doubleheader this week, and the state is divided. The northern half will get King Henry’s Tennessee Titans at Seattle, while the southern half will join the vast majority of the country with Amari Cooper, Trevon Diggs and the Dallas Cowboys taking on the Los Angeles Chargers.
Elsewhere, Mac Jones will lead the New England Patriots against the New York Jets in his first career road game, while Tua Tagovailoa’s Miami Dolphins host the Buffalo Bills. Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith are at home today as the Philadelphia Eagles face the San Francisco 49ers.
Enjoy and chime in with your commentary below.
Roll Tide.
