NSFW: It’s Meltdown Time! Week 1: Tigahs and Tigers and ‘Canes. Oh my!

Week one of the college football season is officially in the books, and thus the first 2021 installment of “It’s Meltdown Time!” is upon us.

First up are the LSU fans who are just about done with Ed Orgeron, a mere 11 games after their 2019 national championship. Clemson fans are pining after Trevor Lawrence after watching their offense get destroyed by Georgia, and then we have the Miami fans. The ‘Canes are stuck in something of an identity crisis, some delusional enough to believe that a return to the glory days is just around the corner. They all seem to be done with athletic director Blake James, head coach Manny Diaz, and the turnover chain.

As usual, the language below is horrific, offensive, and in some cases unconscionable. If you are sensitive to such matters, please point your browser elsewhere. You have been warned.

I think our best shot is hoping someone from Qatar or UAE shows up and sponsors LSU, similar to European soccer. I mean, with a no-cap NIL, that’s essentially what college sports is now. Simply go buy the best players and coaches. Like European soccer, teams can go from zero to hero overnight cause you simply buy everybody. Keeping my fingers crossed.

After last night, my excitement is absolutely gone. I cannot get those images of our lines being man handled and our secondary being embarrassed out of my head. I am no longer looking forward to Saturdays because I know it means LSU will disappoint once again. Is this what it’s like being a fan lower tier program like Arkansas, ole Miss & state?

I look at the schedule and I look at how our future opponents looked yesterday and can’t help but see us losing to most of them. Not to be dark and gloom but buckle up guys it’s going to be a LONG season.

Did anyone see how Saban blew off Manny after the game. He’s looked at Diaz like you’re not deserving to shake my hand and oh yeah, you’re in way over your head. Diaz looked dazed yet again after the game and yes, it was obvious he did feel the slight. I also watched the Saban press conference, which all but acknowledged our players and made no mention of the coaching staff. I thought that was telling of how Saban thinks. He says a lot without saying it.

Stop scheduling like its 2002. Anytime, anywhere means something out of Ed Reed’s mouth. Not Manny Diaz’ or any of the current players.

Time to do the program a favor and ease into the season. The only thing that could happen today at this point is a bad injury.
