mjccrimson Ratings: Week 11

For the most part, nothing has changed. Just as Alabama remained far too low at #8 in the regular polls just because Texas hasn’t lost a second game, Alabama stays just out of the playoff picture, and because Georgia’s lazy handling of its easy schedule has kept them out of the top ten until only recently, beating them in the SEC Championship might not be enough if the other four teams remain unbeaten. But the numbers do have things tightening up, so this could potentially go anywhere in the next 3-4 weeks.

Unfortunately, playing Chattanooga will do nothing for our SOS next week, so we might end up dropping to #7 or #8 anyway, swapping places with Georgia and Texas if neither lose. I do think that if we win out, the odds are high someone above us doesn’t (it’s impossible for them not to, but a lot of factors will determine where they land).
