Alabama has not closed the book on this 2024 recruiting class just yet. Two prospects have already signed but will announce their destinations during the Army All-American Game Saturday, January 6, 2024, Noon CT / 1:00 PM ET. It will air on NBC.
It used to be that these games were the last big showcase for prospects to show their stuff before the February National Signing Day. However, the Early Signing Period has made this a moot point.
Around eight or nine announcements are expected throughout the game. Two of interest to Alabama fans will both occur in the fourth quarter - most likely the last two to announce.
Uncommitted - 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Daniel Hill— RecruitsCentral101 (@Recruit1Academy) December 11, 2023
Hill is a MONSTER with the ball & shows it when you watch him play. He also has 14+ offers from #SEC powers Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina & more.
If I were a coach I’d want him on my team. pic.twitter.com/xEDMT7qxs5
- COMMIT! 4-star RB Daniel Hill (Meridian, MS) is big a running back (6-1/230) with big potential. South Carolina was the favorite for awhile. Hill’s father is a former Mississippi State defensive lineman, so there may have been some favoritism there. However, he is now favored to announce for Alabama. But seriously, how can a person pick one of those two over the Crimson Tide with all the running backs they have sent to the NFL? If he is insistent on staying at running back, it has to be believed that he has voiced this opinion to each program. I can't speak for the other programs, but I KNOW that Nick Saban tells his recruits how the Tide visualize their contribution to the program.
- COMMIT! 4-star DB Zavier “Zay” Mincey (Daytona Beach, FL) is a big-framed DB (6-2.5 / 175) who could play corner or safety. Florida and Miami are also in the mix. Leading up to Early Signing Day in December, it felt like the ‘Canes were leading. Then, the vibe swung the way of Alabama and has stayed there. Mincey has accumulated 91 tackles including five for loss, eight interceptions, 27 passes defended and two forced fumbles over 34 varsity games, per 247Sports and MaxPreps. He will leave San Antonio and fly directly to the school of his choosing and begin his college career next week.
Alabama signees participating in the game:
- WR Amari Jefferson
- DB Peyton Woodyard
- DB Zabien Brown
- DL Jeremiah Beaman
- LB Justin Okoronkwo
Players from the 2025, 2026 and 2027 recruiting classes and beyond were invited to compete in a National Combine in the Alamodome on Friday. On3 and 247sports both gave 5-star 2025 Bama WR commit Jaime Ffrench top honors of the event. He is coming off a 62 reception, 1,247 yards, 14 touchdowns junior campaign at Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, FL.
